Fly out Safari

This Safari offer a shorter and more relaxing way of traveling for those with less days to spend on holiday

Day 1 – Arusha

Karibu Mgeni (that’s Swahili for “Welcome!”) Here you will be met by your guide and transferred to the Mt. Meru Game Lodge for your overnight. The lodge was established in 1959 by Dr. Andreas Von Nagy with the goal of providing superior accommodation to discerning animal lovers visiting Tanzania. All rooms have verandas with comfortable chairs where guests may sit in the early morning, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, soaking up the unique atmosphere of the Lodge and watching the animal and bird-life. Mt. Meru Lodge is a wonderful place to start your Tanzanian safari adventure.

Meals: (HB). Lodging: Mt. Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary

Day 2 – Tarangire National Park

Your first African day dawns, and your true adventure begins!  After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park in your four-wheel drive vehicle. Tarangire retains a real air of undiscovered Africa.  Perhaps it is the vast number of baobab trees that first catch your eye as you enter the park.  There are a fantastic number of colorful birds that swoop and strut along the rough paths throughout the year. Because the park extends through two game-controlled areas, wildlife moves freely throughout.  On arrival with your cameras loaded and your binoculars at the ready, you will start your game view in the Park. The driver will have learned the best spotting and this will determine which direction you will head.  This is not an amusement park, so you never know where the animals may be or what they will be doing. Have in your mind that this park is noted for its prolific bird life, the occasional sighting of cheetah, and the rare African Wild Dog. In the early evening you will start driving out to your lodge.

Meals: Dinner, Breakfast (FB) Lodging: Endoro Lodge

Day 3 – Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, we start our journey to Ngorongoro Crater, driving through the rough road of Karatu and the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands. We then descend down the 2000-ft walls of the Crater, a World Heritage Site and home to nearly 25,000 animals, for a game drive. Here you have a real chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. We slowly will start driving to our lodge for an overnight

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (FB) Lodging: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Similar

Day 4 & 5 – Serengeti National Park

Depart for Serengeti after breakfast. We stop at Olduvai Gorge to visit the site where Mary and Louis Leakey first discovered the remains of Zinjanthropus Bosei, a distant ancestor of man believed to be 1.8 million years old, Australopithecus Bosei, the ‘Nutcracker Man’, a species that became extinct about 1 million years ago and fossilised foot prints that date back 3,6 million years. From here the predator-rich plains of the Serengeti unfurl before us as we game drive through the park for the remainder of the day to arrive at the lodge.

After the first day, we will have another full day to explore the Serengeti, the most famous National Park in Africa . Our driver-guide will choose our route based on his extensive knowledge of the park and local

conditions but the Serengeti rarely disappoints. We carry our packed lunch with us so as to make the most of the day, but our trip might include tracking cheetah through the Gol Kopjes, hunting leopard along the Seronera River, avoiding the crocs and hippos at Retima or exploring the Masai paintings at Moru Kopjes.
